Aircoil Electric coil type EL
Electric coil EL is used for frost protection, pre-heating and comfort heating. Suitable for duct mounting with PG-rail or flange connection, or for embedding in air handling units.
- Available in standard sizes or customised with sizes and outputs adapted to your needs.
- Both automatic and manual overheat protection are included.
- Airflow monitor and alarm relay are available as optional features.
THE COILS ARE AVAILABLE IN THREE CONTROL VERSIONS
Type NV:Potentiometer on the heater casing.
Type NI:Externally wired control knob for temperature control.
Type NIS:Externally wired 0… 10V signal for temperature control.
Models without controls are also available.

Standard design
The electric coils are equipped with two thermostats, or more depending on the heater output, to protect against overheating. Both automatic and manual overheating protection included.
Automatic overheating protection
The automatic, resettable overheating protection switches off the heater when the temperature reaches 50 °C and switches it on again when the temperature drops below 50 °C.
Manual overheating protection
The manual, resettable overheating protection switches off the heater when the temperature reaches 100 °C. This thermostat can only be reset manually by pressing the reset button on top of the casing.
- Casing made of hot-dip galvanised steel sheet (FeZn)
- Heating elements made of stainless steel (AISI304)
Many other material variants are available and manufactured to meet specific requirements.
